All Roads Lead to Rome
All Roads Lead to Rome was my first student film from the Stuttgart Media University, made over the course of four months during the Winter Semester of 2022/23. It is about Karl, a busy tourist who gets trapped at a bus stop in Rome. You can watch the film either at this link or in the embedded Vimeo video below.
During pre-production, I was responsible for the majority of the concept art and the storyboard. During production I modelled and textured Karl, most of the set and many of the props. I also created much of the 2D assets, such as the photos of Karl, the matte painting in the background, and the camera flash effects.

Character Design
I was the character designer for Karl, the lead of the film. These are some of the early explorations of the character before his look was finalized.
This is the final design and turnaround that I used to model Karl in Autodesk Maya. I also created some expression tests for the rigging team.
